Holyland Restaurant & Catering: Authentic Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Cuisine in Santa Clara

We've been going here for several years and it has remained on our top 5 favorite restaurants. Throughout the years, we've settled on our preferred dishes. For appetizers, we often get the Eggplant plate. For our entrée, we've been getting Mansaf and Chicken Shish kabob plate lately. For dessert, we get the Kenafeh. The Eggplant plate is light and perfectly cooked al dente. Pairs beautifully with the pita. The chicken on the Chicken Shish kabob plate is soft, tender, perfectly seasoned, and plenty. The lamb on the Mansaf comes with the bone, which adds more flavor to the profile. Also, the meat is ridiculously tender and cleanly falls off the bone. They also serve the lemony yogurt sauce on the side instead of drenching the entire dish with it. Unlike DishDash Sunnyvale, their Mansaf is served with lamb chunks, the rice is surrounded by sauce, the meat is tough, they are stingy with the almonds, and it's salty. Lastly, the Kenafeh is decadent. The crust is crispy with a warm soft syrupy center. It's so good that it makes us dance in our seats.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Restaurant where I tried the Lamb Mandi and chicken wrap. The Mandi was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with rich flavors that truly impressed me. The chicken wrap was equally satisfying, generously filled with plenty of chicken and accompanied by a fresh and crunchy veggie salad on the side. However, I noticed that there was only one non vegetarian starters on the menu, which was a bit disappointing. Some chicken starters in the menu would make the dining experience even great. Overall, the food was delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying dining experience.

Very nice place to visit and have a good meal. The place is kind of chill and empty in the afternoons so there will be plenty of space. We got a falafel plate which comes with two sauces and we also got two combo plate which were so good and big in the portion. Recommended place to visit for a good meal and the prices is so affordable.

My sister Fatima and I were some of the very first customers. We used to order catering at least once a week if not more. You can't find good Middle Eastern or Arab food in the SF Bay Area except for this place and another place in SF. I love that the food here has the homemade authentic Palestinian taste. The owner is super cool. She is my role model and I hope I can be a successful business owner like her someday. I haven't been here in a while but my older sister told me we should come like back in the days. Her husband is also Palestinian and he loves coming here even though he knows how to cook Palestinian food too. A few of my best friends come here and bring me food to go because they know I've been anti-social lately. Some of my friends that recently converted to Islam said they fell in love with this restaurant because they're treated like family here. All of the food is amazing but I love how the chefs make the mansaf dish especially and I think they still serve maklouba on the menu which is my second favorite.

Delicious Mediterranean food. Everything was prepared perfectly and pretty quick service also. Lamb in the mansaf & mandi was cooked to the correct tenderness, even can appeal non lamb people.Kenafeh & baklava was also yummy

While the surrounding atmosphere is not the greatest, the inside of the restaurant is perfectly fine and it’d be a shame to miss out on this spot!!! The most amazing middle eastern food i’ve ever had. We got the mansaf, mezza plate and moussaka- all were phenomenal. I’m definitely coming back here to try the Mandi too DEFINITELY better than some other places i’ve tried like dish n dash. They also gave great portions with reasonable prices. 5 stars!!

Ordered the lamb shank, and when it arrived, I figured I’ll take some home with me as no one can finish such a big portion. I couldn’t stop eating till it was done! So so so good! Music was a little loud in my opinion, but service was good and price for what you get it unbeatable! So worth it!! Highly recommended!

One of the best places to try delicious mediterranean food. Mandi here is magnificent and is a must try. Lamb shank is so well cooked it melts in your mouth. Kenefeh and Baklava are splendid. Service is pretty quick, ambience is decent. Quality of food is top notch.
